Leading global brewer
AB InBev is the leading global brewer and one of the world’s top five consumer products companies. Our dream, shared by approximately 116,000 employees around the globe, is to be The Best Beer Company in a Better World. In 2009, the company generated revenues of 36.8 billion USD (AB InBev 2009).
Top 10 selling beers
One of the hallmarks of any global consumer products company is the strength, diversity and health of its brands. At AB InBev, we have a strong, balanced portfolio with well over 200 beer brands. Among them four of the top 10 selling beers in the world: Bud Light, Budweiser, Skol and Brahma Chop (AB InBev 2009).
Consumers around the world
Headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, AB InBev operates in 23 countries worldwide. The company works through six operational Zones: North America, Latin America North, Latin America South, Western Europe, Central & Eastern Europe, and Asia Pacific, allowing our consumers around the world to enjoy our beers.
AB InBev's dedication to heritage and quality is rooted in brewing traditions that originate in Den Hoorn, Belgium, which dates back to 1366 - and the pioneering spirit of the Anheuser % Co brewery, which began making beer in St. Louis, USA in 1852.
AB InBev UK
Our beers have been popular in the UK for many years and we now employ around 1,400 people at our UK breweries at Magor, Samlesbury and in Mortlake – as well as at our company headquarters in Luton.
In the UK we manage and make a wide range of award-winning beers, ales, stouts and cider. They include global flagship brands such as Budweiser, Stella Artois and Beck’s as well as local favourites including Boddingtons and Bass. We have introduced new products such as Budweiser Brew No.66, Stella Artois Black and Stella Artois Cidre and distribute iconic world beers including Hoegaarden and Leffe.
Our brands are sold extensively in pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants and hotels across the country – and are also the consumers’ favourites to drink at home. We are number one in the take home sector with our products widely available from retailers across the country (AB InBev 2009).
